Registrations of electric and hybrid vehicles in the Republic of San Marino continue to grow. Proof of this is the registration data contained in the Statistics Bulletin of the first quarter of 2019 published by the IT, technology, data and statistics office (Upecedes).

‏The numbers indicate that we have gone from 57 cars registered in 2016 (2% of the total) to 131 in 2018 out of a total of 2,722 cars (4.8% of the total).
‏The data for the first trimester of 2019 are even better: in fact out of 699 cars registered, 38 are electric or hybrid, or 5.4% of the total.

‏Even if the total numbers are limited, at a percentage level the growth is constant. A positive figure, which is in line with what happened in Italy.

‏As reported on the website, 92,042 electric or hybrid cars were registered in Italy in 2018 against a total of 1,918,123 registrations.
‏The percentage therefore stands at 4.7%, virtually identical to that of San Marino. In 2017 the percentage was 3.4%. Unlike San Marino, however, Italian data also shows the separation between hybrid and full electric. The latter were 5,010, equal to 0.3% of the total. The percentage compared to the total is very small but the growth compared to 2017 is dizzying: + 148.5% considering that in 2017 registrations were 2.016.
